This is the second extensive action alert for our State Action Campaign and we hope you will participate! Please contact us with any questions.
This Action Alert Requires The Following:
1. Select (click on) your State from the State menu below.
2. Use the State Action Packet for your State linked below to get started. Your options may include petitioning and writing letters to state officials advocating for the recommended changes to state law provided in the State Action Packet(s). Your options may also include organizing and initiating your own citizen-sponsored legislation. You can visit http://votesmart.org/, enter in your zip code, and then scroll down and click on "State Legislative". You will also want to contact your Governor. This information is available under "Gubernatorial", right above "State Leglislative", using the directions above.
3. Whether you choose to participate in a citizen-sponsored initiative campaign or not, we encourage you to write a letter/e-mail to your Governor and State Legislators and submit/send your message including the recommended changes to state law provided in the State Action Packet(s) below.
