is 19 so has been sent to a Youth Offenders Institute at Feltham. He was
sentenced to 12 months and his sentence also started today. This is
Dan's first time in jail and he is an incredible youngster who believes

relation to PDP Couriers who are a major supplier to Huntingdon Life
Sciences and the Wilton Box Company who make lab animal transportation

want to extend a big thank you to everyone who has worked so tirelessly
to spread awareness about the SHAC 7 case and to raise funds for the
appeal. It was heartwarming for all of the defendants to hear about the
tremendous outpouring of support by all those who attended the AR2006
conference in Washington DC. There

be sentenced on September 12th at the Federal Courthouse in Trenton, New
Jersey. Please make every effort to be there--it will mean a lot to the
defendants to pack the courtroom. The government has requested sentences

Josh
Demmitt
is a 19 year old currently serving 2 1/2 years in prison for a
non-violent action of civil disobedience on behalf of animal rights. He
was convicted of an A.L.F. action in Provo, UT where 12 animals were
freed and $80,000 in damage were done to animal testing facilities.
We
have just spoken to Josh Demmitt and have learned that he is not getting
a nutritionally sufficient vegan diet. Josh has lost FIFTEEN POUNDS IN
THREE WEEKS, and complains of feeling faint and tired all the time. At this time, we are requesting that people make POLITE phone calls to the Federal Prison Camp Sheridan, requesting that Josh
meet with a dietician to get an adequately nutritious vegan diet. The
