I'm writing to you as a former supervisor at Mount Prospect Academy in Plymouth, NH. Becket Family of Services has several residential facilities throughout the New England area including Mount Prospect Academy and the Becket House at Warren. While there I witnessed several incidents of abuse (both physical and emotional) and neglect. My concerns were quickly conveyed to upper management with little or no response. I witnessed children literally being thrown and held against concrete walls by staff members as well as being called "faggots" and "pussys" on an almost daily basis. I witnessed children being sent to the hospital with concussions as a result of improper physical management techniques and deliberate intentions to harm the children.
 
I quit my job after 5 months of desperately attempting to change the behavior mod to a completely passive and hands off program. I'm not sure how this will help but at least someone else now knows. Becket has been investigated by the state of New Hampshire several times with little consequence as the children there are afraid to tell anyone how things really are. I encourage you to spread the word.

"Police have accused a Campton man with using his computer to solicit sex from who he thought was a juvenile but was actually an undercover officer. Brian Miller, 28, is charged with the class B felony crime of Certain Uses of Computer Services Prohibited and the misdemeanor crime of indecent exposure in a computer image, police said. A Hudson police officer went with Campton police officers to Miller's home Thursday and arrested him, Capt. Bill Avery said. Miller thought he was communicating with a juvenile to solicit sex, police said. There was enough material in the communications to charge Miller, Avery said"

Brian Miller is the Program Director at the Campton House in Campton, NH. A house for adolescent boys owned and operated by Becket Family of Services. Brian Miller was being housed by Becket on the same property of his adolescent clients at the time of his arrest.  (Submitted by former Becket staff who has requested anonymity.)
 

Something you may want to investigate and expose.... About three weeks ago an unsupervised resident of Mount Prospect Academy attacked and struck another resident in the back of the head with a maul ax sending him to the emergency room with severe injuries. In a staff meeting following the incident, Management at Mount Prospect threatened to immediately fire anyone that released any information regarding the matter or anyone that spoke to the media about it. (submitted August 3rd, 2009)
